Meet the members of Team Inspired!  Our dedicated team of fitness professionals are committed to your success.  Each one of our team members is unique, and they are all driven by a genuine desire to help people and do whatever it takes to help you meet your fitness goals.

SHERRY KRESKY
Owner / Director of Inspiration / Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor

Sherry is the heart and soul of Inspired by Fitness, where her passion for health, wellness and helping others drives everything she does.  Backed by years of experience in the fitness industry, she has dedicated her career to guiding individuals on their personal wellness journeys through personal training, fitness class instruction and wellness coaching.  Since launching Inspired by Fitness in 2014, Sherry has built a supportive and empowering community where individuals of all fitness levels can thrive.
 
From a young age, Sherry immersed herself in a variety of sports including track and field, volleyball, soccer and gymnastics.  These experiences shaped her understanding of teamwork, perseverance, goal setting and a positive mindset – principles she continues to apply both professionally and personally.
 
After earning her degree in Physical and Health Education from Laurentian University, Sherry pushed her own limits by competing in a fitness competition.  It was through this intense experience that she came to embody the 3 Ds – Dedication, Determination, Discipline – core values that now underpin her approach to coaching and fitness.
 
In her spare time, Sherry loves sharing her passion for fitness with her daughters, Sophia and Samantha.  She encourages them to embrace an active lifestyle through gymnastics, soccer and jiu-jitsu, nurturing their confidence, strength and joy in movement from a young age.
 
Sherry’s mission is simple – to inspire and guide others to reach their full potential.  Through customized fitness programs, nutritional guidance and ongoing motivation, she’s here to support you every step of the way on your journey to a stronger, healthier and more confident you.

JULIE CHARBONNEAU
Studio Manager / Fitness Instructor

Julie has been passionate about indoor cycling for years, and in August 2016, she took her commitment to the next level by earning her Schwinn® Cycling Classic Instructor Certification at the Canfitpro World Fitness Expo.  Her love for energizing music and high-intensity Spin drills creates an atmosphere that keeps participants motivated and coming back for more.

​In January 2017, Julie expanded her role within the studio by stepping into the position of Studio Manager.  In this capacity, she oversees daily operations, streamlines procedures and coordinates events to ensure the studio runs smoothly and efficiently.  She also leads various creative and marketing initiatives, contributing to branding, promotional strategies and the development of content that reflects the studio’s identity.  In addition, Julie handles a range of Human Resources responsibilities, helping to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Julie brings over 30 years of administrative expertise, having held key positions at organizations such as the Morrison Centre & Morrison Family Foundation, BAI Communications, BlackBerry (Research In Motion), Huron Perth Public Health and OpenText Corporation.  She holds a diploma in Human Resources Management from Conestoga College and an Executive Office Administration diploma from Fanshawe College.

WHITNEY GREEN
Fitness Instructor


Whitney has always led an active lifestyle through snowboarding, swimming, hiking, biking and walking her dog.  In 2015, her friend invited her to a yoga class, which resulted in her finding her fitness passion.  Yoga provided a calm and empowering energy within, which led her to attend as many classes as she could to build her strength, balance and yoga practice.

A few years later, it was time to leave her desk job behind and pursue a more fulfilling and active career.  To date, Whitney has completed her 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and is registered with the Yoga Alliance.  She is excited to be able to share her passion of yoga with others by guiding them through their practice and helping them reach their fitness goals.  When Whitney is not on her mat, there is a good chance you will find her in the kitchen whipping up some plant-based goodness or curled up on the couch reading a book.

ALYSSA HYDE
Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor / Fascial Stretch Therapist

In recent years, Alyssa began introducing exercise and physical activity back into her life and fell in love with movement all over again through her own wellness journey and progress.  She is very passionate about all things related to holistic wellness in each domain of health, personal development and lifelong learning.  She is grateful to have the opportunity to share her vision of wellness with others and inspire them to become the best version of themselves.  She truly believes that exercise sets the foundation for resilience, energy, confidence and happiness and enables us to create sustainable habits that push us further towards all the goals we set for ourselves.  She believes it is important for her class participants to have fun and enjoy the workouts as it will build momentum and excitement to want to move your body with purpose and in ways that make you feel good.  She feels that being part of a fitness community or having a form of accountability are essential on a wellness journey to assist in leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
 
Alyssa obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo in Therapeutic Recreation and enjoys working both one-on-one and in groups with individuals in the community to help them find meaningful ways to incorporate leisure, sports, self-care and activities in their lives that they love.  Working as a Recreation Therapist, she has had the experience of leading seated and standing low-impact exercises for older adults, as well as co-facilitating strength and balance exercises in an accessible, supportive warm water aquatics program for older adults.
 
Alyssa always gravitated towards playing sports and being part of a team.  Some of the sports she enjoyed playing were hockey, soccer and volleyball.  Other hobbies she has include: being out in nature (trails, the beach, camping), listening to audiobooks, podcasts and music, kayaking, paddleboarding, tennis, golf, playing dice/card games and quality time with family, friends and her Labrador Retriever.

CHASE HYDE

Chase’s passion for health and fitness blossomed as he was making a lifestyle change within his own life and saw how all of the facets of health are so interconnected.  Through focusing more on his overall health, Chase felt the effects of more confidence, a stronger mindset and greater ambition for his overall health.  From this it has become a passion of his, and he is thrilled to help others achieve this within their own lives and inspiring others to reach for and achieve their goals.
 
Chase also has a passion for continuous learning whether it be in his Early Childhood Education career or on various topics within the health and fitness realm.
 
Chase looks forward to building strong connections with everyone and guiding you towards your goals.

JOAN MALONEY
Fitness Instructor


Joan has always been a fitness enthusiast, participating in various recreational sports and fitness classes for many years, which led her to become a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer.

In October 2005, she decided to make a career change and became the owner of Body Moves Fitness Studio in Stratford, Ontario.  During her time at Body Moves, she trained individuals, small groups and teams, instructed a variety of fitness classes, held fat loss and muscle conditioning boot camps and ran running and Nordic walking clinics and specialized group activities.
 
In 2014, Joan decided to pass on her legacy and retire as a full-time fitness instructor/personal trainer.  As her love for fitness continues, she enjoys instructing a few days per week at Inspired by Fitness.

MICHELLE REINHART

Michelle has always been active and grew up figure skating competitively as it’s what she lived for.  She skated until she went to Conestoga College for Fitness and Health Promotion.  During college, Michelle took a class that taught her about fitness classes and how to teach.  She then had the opportunity to take her Fitness Instructor Specialist certification with Canfitpro, and she’s never looked back since.  She feels there’s something about the energy in the room, seeing everyone’s smiling faces and the atmosphere of everyone motivating one another, that she loves.  It’s an amazing experience every single class.
 
Michelle’s goal is to make each and every class she teaches fun, engaging and inviting.  Fitness is her passion, and she absolutely loves connecting with her participants and the fitness community. 
 
Michelle has been teaching Zumba Fitness and POUND Fitness for several years while working for different gyms, community centres and her own private classes.  She has taught a variety of different classes such as Zumba, POUND, STRONG Nation and Cardio Tai Box.

SARA ROPP
Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor


Sara’s journey with fitness began later in life, but she quickly became hooked.  As the passion for moving and incorporating workouts every day blossomed, so did the drive to share this feeling with others.  She decided to pursue coaching and received her certification as a Certified Personal Trainer from Canfitpro.  Sara has been offering training sessions since that time, enjoying every minute of seeing people meet their desired goals.  She feels there is no better feeling than working alongside someone as they challenge their body and mind in new and exciting ways.
 
Sara also feels strongly that she needs to be a strong role model for her two children to show that you can set and reach any goal, no matter what stage of life you are in.  She is always working on her skills and knowledge by furthering her education to be the best coach possible.  Being a part of the team of amazing fitness professionals at Inspired by Fitness is one more way to ensure she is always learning and growing.  She looks forward to working with everyone to get moving and reach those goals!

SARAH SEDDON

Sarah has always been passionate about fitness and played team sports and competitive volleyball growing up.  She had always longed for a career in health and fitness, but it wasn't until she participated in the Couch To Confident: 12-Week Total Body Transformation & Accountability Program at Inspired by Fitness, that she decided to take action and pursue her dream of working in the fitness industry.  After personally experiencing the positive impact and life-changing effects of working with a Personal Trainer, she realized that she wanted to impact other people's lives in the same way.  She also wants to lead by example so that her children will grow up living healthy and active lives and show them that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to!

Sarah received her Personal Training Specialist certification through Canfitpro in 2018.  She is excited to get you moving so that you can achieve your goals and reach your full potential!

MITISHA (TISH) SMITJES

Mitisha (Tish) Smitjes has been instructing Zumba with Inspired by Fitness since 2014.  Tish first tried Zumba while on vacation in Cuba and was immediately hooked!  At the time, she was on her own personal journey of weight loss and shifting to a healthy lifestyle, and Zumba fit her own needs perfectly.

Tish received her Zumba Instructor Certification in 2013 and has loved teaching and taking Zumba classes wherever her travels take her!

Every great fitness studio runs on more than just workouts – it thrives because of the dedicated people working behind the scenes to keep everything clean, safe and welcoming.  Jessica and Shannon, our exceptional facilities support team, play a vital role in making sure the studio is always in top shape, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have them as part of our community.
 
Whether it’s keeping equipment spotless, restocking essentials, setting up for classes or jumping in wherever needed, Jessica and Shannon handle it all with reliability, attention to detail and a positive attitude.  Their efforts ensure our space runs smoothly and feels inviting for everyone who walks through the door.
 
Jessica brings consistency and dependability, often going above and beyond to assist with class setups and create a smooth experience for members and staff.  Shannon adds a creative touch to her work, helping us continually improve the feel and function of our environment.  Both take great pride in what they do and contribute meaningfully to the health, safety and spirit of our studio.
 
Though their work often happens behind the scenes, their impact is seen and felt every single day.  We’re truly grateful to have Jessica and Shannon on our team.
